Palakkayam Thattu
The lush greenery of the hills, gorges and the streams seen on both sides of the passage up to the top of the hill. Guests often stop by at this vantage point with panoramic views of a valley. Most visitors stop beside a Ficus tree with a chain around its trunk. This tree is part of a myth – that a tribal youth, Karinthandan, guided a British engineer in cutting their path through these ancient forests. It is said that once the engineer had achieved his objective he decided that the tribal was dispensable and killed him. The myth purports that to this day, that the unfortunate young man’s soul is chained to the tree, exiled inside by a priest who wanted it to stop tormenting travellers passing by.
Ezharakund Waterfalls
Ezharakund is a beautiful and adventurous waterfall. The waterfall comprises of seven levels of rocky natural pools of various sizes and depths. There is a trek of around 2 km from the base to reach the main waterfall. The tourism department has constructed a pedestrian path from the Chathamala Facility Centre to the waterfalls. You can reach the base in the vehicle and then trek upwards. There are places where bathing is allowed on the way upwards.

St Angelo Fort
The polished yet prehistoric structure of this fortress oozes with unadulterated elegance and overwhelming power. Standing ashore in the Arabian sea, St Angelos Fort enjoys a panoramic and unobstructed view of the diorama created by the merger of the magnetic waves and the azure waters. It also overlooks the mesmerizing Mopilla Bay, a natural harbour.

Parassinikkadavu
Parassinikkadavu is a town popular for its Muthappan Temple, Parassinikkadavu Snake Park, Vismaya water theme park, and Boathouse. The Muthappan temple, dedicated to Sree Muthappan is the only Hindu temple in the state which witnesses a Theyyam performance daily as per ritual.
The snake park, on the other hand, is home to a huge number and variety of snakes including the King Cobra, Pit Viper, and many more.
Muzhappilangad Beach
The Muzzhapilangad Drive-in Beach at Kannur is one referred to with many superlatives- as the longest drive-in beach in the whole of India.
